Mari Carmen Gómez ble uteksaminert i klaverspilling fra Conservatorio Superior de Música Victoria Eugenia i Granada, Spania, samtidig som hun fullførte en bachelorgrad i spesialpedagogikk ved Universitetet i Granada. Hun har også en mastergrad i musikalsk forskning fra UNIR og tok videreutdanning i klaverspilling ved Conservatorio F.A. Bonporti i Trento, Italia.

Hennes internasjonale utdanning har tatt henne til Sverige, Finland og Italia, hvor hun har fått både akademisk og profesjonell erfaring ved å tilby privattimer til studenter på alle nivåer, fra nybegynnere til viderekomne. Hun har også jobbet som pianoakkompagnatør ved diverse private og offentlige konservatorier i Spania. Med en sterk bakgrunn innen både pianopedagogikk og spesialpedagogikk har hun utviklet en svært tilpasningsdyktig og kreativ undervisningstilnærming.

I tillegg til pianokarrieren har Mari omfattende erfaring som sanger. Hun har sunget i kor siden hun var åtte år og har fått profesjonell opplæring i klassisk (lyrisk) sang. Hun har opptrådt med anerkjente ensembler som OJA (Andalusias ungdomsorkester) og OCG (Granadas orkester), og deltatt på prestisjetunge festivaler, inkludert Granadas musikalske og dansefestival. Hennes opptredener har ført henne til symbolske steder som Carlos V-palasset, det nasjonale auditoriet i Madrid og moské-katedralen i Córdoba.

I 2024 var hun med på å grunnlegge Sambra Trio, et musikalsk prosjekt dedikert til å gjenoppbygge og fremføre verk av spanske kvinnelige komponister. Ensemblet kombinerer kunstneriske opptredener med pedagogiske og oppsøkende konserter, og fremmer synlighet og anerkjennelse av dette verdifulle repertoaret. Til tross for at det er et ungt prosjekt, har trioen allerede opptrådt på store teatre over hele Spania og samarbeidet internasjonalt med et teater i Oslo.

Mari brenner for å koble musikk med mennesker i alle aldre og mener at både piano- og sangtimer alltid bør være en berikende opplevelse for både lærer og elev.

Mari Carmen Gómez graduated in Piano Performance from the Conservatorio Superior de Música Victoria Eugenia in Granada, Spain, while simultaneously completing a bachelor’s degree in Special Education at the University of Granada. She also holds a master’s degree in Musical Research from UNIR and pursued postgraduate studies in Piano Performance at the Conservatorio F.A. Bonporti in Trento, Italy.

Her international education has taken her to Sweden, Finland, and Italy, where she has gained both academic and professional experience by offering private lessons to students of all levels, from beginners to advanced. She has also worked as a piano accompanist in various private and public conservatories in Spain. With a strong background in both piano pedagogy and special education, she has developed a highly adaptable and creative teaching approach.

In addition to her piano career, Mari has extensive experience as a singer. She has been singing in choirs since the age of eight and has received professional training in classical (lyrical) singing. She has performed with renowned ensembles such as the OJA (Choir of Andalucia Youth Orchestra) and the OCG (Choir of Granada Orchestra), taking part in prestigious festivals including the Musical and Dance Festival of Granada. Her performances have taken her to emblematic venues such as the Carlos V Palace, the National Auditorium in Madrid, and the Mosque–Cathedral of Córdoba.

In 2024, she co-founded Sambra Trio, a musical project dedicated to recovering and performing works by Spanish women composers. The ensemble combines artistic performances with educational and outreach concerts, promoting visibility and recognition of this valuable repertoire. Despite being a young project, the trio has already performed in major theatres across Spain and collaborated internationally with a theatre in Oslo.

Mari is passionate about connecting music with people of all ages and believes that both piano and singing lessons should always be an enriching experience for teacher and student alike.
